Great Sunday!

>> Monday, June 2, 2008

I really enjoyed an incredible Sunday! Our time in worship was especially sweet this week. I really liked the tender songs we shared in the middle of the morning; the sense of peace and being able to hear the voices of our whole church family brought tears to my eyes. I had an absolute BLAST preaching this week, because it's so much fun to share what the Spirit has been revealing to me. We had a huge Hope Group, and our discussion was terrific. And after everyone left and the house was quiet, our family sat down and watched National Treasure 2 (great flick!). What a terrific day!

I'm also really looking forward to next Sunday. We've been talking about the wilderness wanderings, and I've spent the last couple of weeks talking about two huge, sweeping lessons that God wants to teach his people during seasons of transition and instability. They seem rather simplistic, but the implications for our lives are enormous. First, God is really, really powerful. Second, God really knows what he's doing.

But there's actually a third sweeping theme in the wilderness wanderings that we need to talk about. It's pretty challenging stuff, and I'm looking forward to furthering our conversation and study next Sunday.

Hi Scott,
Just found your blog and thought I would drop in and say "hello!"

Not sure why after these few years have passed, but God has been reminding me of you and your wonderful teaching you shared while here in AZ.

God's many blessings to you and yours.

Sincerely,
Paul D. Adams
