Singing in the Rain

Finished work this afternoon and stepped out of my office into a really beautiful rain shower. It's funny how much I love the rain, especially after living in the desert for so many years. There's a certain musty smell in the air, and everything just shimmers. There was no real wind. It wasn't terribly cold. It was just gentle and soggy. Kinda fun.

Shared in the Worship Team's rehearsal tonight. Steve is on break this week, so some folks have shifted around to try some new roles. It was tough getting a couple of the songs to come together, and rehearsal lasted longer than it usually does. But I'm loving the new song that will be part of our celebration of communion this week, and it was a very special treat to listen to Becca Alexander sing a solo. She has this very gentle, sweet voice, and I got chills as she sang. Beautiful!
