Sleepless Excitement
>> Friday, July 13, 2007
It's 4:00 AM and I can't sleep. I want to sleep. Today is a big day and I want to be refreshed. But the excitement is keeping me awake.
My kids fly in from Phoenix today. I haven't seen them for over a month. I can't wait to hug them and spend the weekend together. They'll be sharing in our church's youth hands-on service project down in Lynchburg all next week, and it will be a great opportunity to get to know other students in the youth group. Then I geto the following weekend with them as well. it's going to be great.
Margo is flying in today as well. At least, we hope she is; she's on standby, but there are a lot of flight options so I'm sure she'll make it out here on one of them. Tomorrow we're going to look at more homes, meet with a lender, and hopefully make an offer on something and discover where we'll be living for the next season of our lives.
It's going to be a very long day of travel and we may find ourselves going to a couple of different airports in the area to collect everyone. But that's okay. At the end of today, we're all going to be together as a family, and that's a very good thing. Now if only the dog was coming, too...

Hey Scott,
Talked to your beautiful wife on Wednesday, and her excitment about this "next season" is just contagious! :) What an amazing time of growth and beauty this has been! I think I must be the queen of hormones right now, but I can't quite swallow this lump in my throat or stop the tears in my eyes about saying what seems like at least a longer "good-bye" to the Heine's in the next few weeks. Margo and I talked about getting together for a small chunk when you come down for the move, so we'll see comes of that. :) Blessings, blessings, blessings, and safe travels for your entire family as you visit together and with others, and also as you find your next home. And with the Heine's there, what a home it will be!
Dude - if you don't call me during your time in Lynchburg, I will be most put out. :)
email me if you need my phone number.
