"We're coming to Virginia..."

>> Friday, June 29, 2007

It was 11:36 p.m. and I was still laying here awake when my cell phone rang. It was Margo. I answered the phone to the sweetest words I could hear: "We're coming to Virginia." That's right, we now have a contract on our home. Closing date is set for July 27. Our family will be reunited at last. And I am so excited...

But check this out: God is so cool! The Lord has this incredible sense of timing, and I'm in awe of how he's putting this together. Our realtor in Arizona is a great guy. He was a pastor but got burned by an abusive church in Arizona; naturally we felt an immediate connection with him. *grin* And the buyer is also a pastor moving into the area. So God set it up that a pastor would help sell the home of a pastor to another pastor. Our old house will continue to be a place where lives are changed and the Kingdom is expanded, and I couldn't be happier.

Of course, we're entering into that tentative week+ inspection period where something could go wrong and undo the deal. So my prayers aren't about to slow down. But I'm gonna go ahead and dance for joy now. Wanna join me? Go ahead, crank the stereo. Nobody's watching. Dance away! What great news!

Baptists don't dance. Just kidding...
Rejoicing with you and praying that all will go smoothly. God's timing, as ever, is amazing. He does all things well and best.

May God "grease the skids" on this whole affair and speed your family to you! We pray blessings on every step of this process!

Hi Scott,
I am so excited that your family will be coming soon! Jeff and I have been praying for your house to sell and will continue to do so. Ella and I ran into Margo at lunch a few days ago. It was such a joy to see her. We certainly miss you all more than you could ever know. Thank you for sharing about this wonderful new journey God has set you on.

Just received a link to your blog and have so enjoyed -- most -- of what has been shared. So sorry to see that there are still some hurtful messages being sent your way... but on to the great news. Praise Jesus the house is sold! But I am with you prayers will continue.
