Yes, Lord?

I had an odd experience last night. I stayed up kinda late doing some research and finally headed to bed around midnight. But as I lay down, I suddenly felt very wide awake. What's more, I felt something... I'm not entirely sure how to descirbe it. It's like my spirit was hyper-alert. I had this overwhelming sense of God's presence and this feeling that something is coming. Something big. Something that God is going to do in his sovereignty and for his glory. It felt a bit like being in the ocean, looking at the horizon, and seeing a big wave coming, except it was a very spiritual thing. When I finally went to sleep, I woke up again at 3:30 with the same feeling and the same sense of being suddenly very wide awake.
Now, I'm not a big "mystical" kind of guy and I don't talk a lot about subjective experiences like this. I'm totally convinced that God's Spirit moves in our midst in tangible ways, drawing our attention to his agenda, convicting us, refining us, illuminating us to truth, and helping us glimpse the world from heaven's perspective even if only for a moment. But I'm also a bit jaded by people claiming spiritual experiences that seem inconsistent with what we know about God. Besides, as I said, it's really a subjective thing. More of a feeling and an intangible, indescribable awareness.
I have no idea what it means. But I've found myself thinking about it all day. The sense that "something is coming" has lingered with me ever since I awoke this morning, and it has me a little excited with anticipation.
I wonder what God's up to...

God's up to big things at Hope already. Did you see how many people were there today? I felt great joy as I looked around and saw all of those smiling faces. It was awesome. Keep going God!
Just popping over to see what musings have come through. Glad you all had such a blessed holiday ~ praying God continues to hold you in His palm.
I have had His presence stir me awake often lately...He is doing so many things in our midst and has such big plans...now is the time of final preparation; prepare Ye the way of the Lord ~
