Now we just need to come up with a couple of names we can all agree upon. (And, yes, we are all very excited!)

Oh! Are they yours? Devyn wants to suggest Oreo & S'mores. lol

They are adorable. I hope I get to meet them!

WOW! That was fast. They really are beautiful pups. Since your last was named Blossom ... I guess Buttercup and Bubbles would be the next best choices.

Your pal, Professor Utonium :)

I can't help but to keep popping over to see these beauties. There's nothing like a puppy...or two.

Hope you can get some sleep.

Heh... Yeah, they're ADORABLE! We've been on the phone with the breeder several times today, and everything continues to seem like it's almost too good to be true. They're exactly what we're looking for! Right now, they're finishing weening with their mother up in northern Pennsylvania, but tonight we were setting the appointment to drive up and get them in about two weeks. After getting home from the office this evening, I've spent a lot of time refreshing myself on all that "puppy preparation" information -- especially since I've never trained two dogs simultaneously (and want to make sure that they become part of our "pack" rather than form their own little "sub-pack" between them. By Thanksgiving, our household should be full of very sleepy people and the happy sounds of puppy chatter!

Wade thought Reckless and Rowdy would be good names (in honor of Judith and her boys...those were her nicknames for them). Then we realized they were females, so maybe not :)How about naming them after some Starbucks drinks...Mocha and ???
Anyway, whatever you name them, they are adorable!

can't wait to see what you pick as names!!

Congrats!

The Aardvark recommends Lady and Slippers. Very beautiful dogs!

Awwww...they are cute. :-)
I like Aardvark's recommendation of Lady that occured to me; Tess and Lady...

I am sure the names will come, once you meet them and decide they work with your family ~

Enjoy the process! :-)

We're actually leaning toward "Maggie" (special significance for us) and "Rose" (in honor of Blossom) at this point, but our ideas seem to change several times throughout the day. We've had a lot of laughs thinking through possibilities, and I'm guessing we won't make a final decision until we actually spend some time with the pups and get to know their personalities a bit. But we're LOVING the suggestions -- THANKS!

We're also spending a chunk of time researching the challenges of bringing home two littermates. Oh, sure, it's all puppy play at first. But those little gals are gonna grow up and their pack mentality and competitiveness will kick in. We realize that it's much more difficult to raise 2 pups together, and it will require some pretty consistent strategy from our entire family to make sure they bond to us primarily rather than to each other. This is gonna be a lot of hard work, but also a lot of fun!

Maggie and Rose, huh??? :)

Scott,

Val and I brought home 2 litter mates from Karen (2 golden retrievers) and it is not as challenging as you might think. They will most definitely have their own sub-pack but they will also be part of the bigger pack as well. It is like having twins and trying to divide your time between them will be challenging....I do not regret the decision that we made.

For names I suggest Knuckle and Head. Good news is that you do not have much hair to loose as you potty train 2 puppies....
