New Book

>> Sunday, June 8, 2008

I've just started reading unChristian by David Kinnamon & Gabe Lyons (www.unChristian.com). I'm just into the first couple of chapters at this point, and it really has my attention. Essentially, the book explores the image of Christianity among the late "busters" and early "mosaic" generations -- from late teens to late 20s. Fascinating stuff. Though it seems some of their research confirms suspcions I've had, I'm also being challenged in my thinking. And I love a book that challenges me (whether or not I end up agreeing with its conclusions). Probably a good read for anyone at Hope who is interested in undestanding the challenges before us in reaching out to the frontlines generation.

That looks interesting. I'll have to pick it up when I get the chance.

Thanks for the mini-review.

Also -- your link to www.unchristian.com is broken. It's not hard to figure out how to get there - but you can't from your linky.

We just ordered three copies. We'll have an extra to share. Looking forward to discussing it.

We just miss you guys...that's it, we just miss you. Dane's party was missing you, and especially Dane's dedication. Glad to hear that you guys are doing well, and that Margo is gardening...I remember her talking about how much she missed gardening when she was here!
So, morning glory, huh??? Too funny!
