Your wisdom and mercy, oh Lord,
are bountiful beyond words.
With each new day, you refresh the souls of men.
This morning I watched
as the dark sky transformed into an azure blue.
Scattered clouds on the horizon
turned from dark foreboding to shades of gray
with glowing edges and finally to pure white
in the brilliance of the blinding sun.
Every 24 hours, you provide a new day
wherein each man has the opportunity to look upward
and obtain renewal.
You lure us gently
with the fresh cool breeze of the morning.
The opportunity is always there,
although we often fail to see it.
My soul weeps in joy
at the beauty and simplicity of the schemes you devise.
How do you come up with these ideas?
I thank you
for occasionally opening my eyes and heart
so I can get a glimpse of your glory.
Your wisdom and mercy, Oh Lord,
are bountiful beyond words!
Spring time in the morning lasts forever
Your breath is like strawberries cast in the heather
I know not how I lived before your presence
I know not what to do without your guidance
How can I show my love beyond measure?
When there aren’t enough life times to string together
Teach me how to shout from the rooftops of old
For I shall not be dissuaded or taken from your fold
Mold me like clay to be transformed into your image
Sparkling, translucent and perfectly persistent
Your child, your love, who is terribly insistent
We walk in the fields joyful together
I bask in YOUR sunlight now and forever
LORD you ae almighty
I should praise you
You've given us so much
And I need to thank you for all of the things you have given us
I take to many things for granted
I love you
and I shall praise you for the rest of my days
We ought to read the Bible every day
and pray to you every day
GOD sent his son Jesus to die on the cross
So we could have a chance to go to heaven
The LORD knows where we are going to sit before we sit.
You knew everything that I was going to do while I was in my mother's womb
YOU are the Lord my GOD.
Fatigue, loneliness, anxiety;
all to overflowing.
Random thoughts from all directions
bouncing off the walls of my mind;
with no purpose save to propel my exhausted spirit
into an uncontrolled spiral with no boundaries.
Writhing with feelings of madness;
sweet sleep evades me.
Silence!
Do I not remember where my hope comes from?
Not "Why Lord" but, "Save me from my ruin, Oh Lord!"
You are my ever present help!
You cleared a path through the darkness;
a road that will change me,
bringing my resistant heart closer to Christ likeness.
Finally, a purpose not set by flesh but divinely designed.
Grant me the endurance to finish the course,
pursue the great reward,
and glorify Your name!
